How this measure works
What it measures
Bitcoin hashrate is the estimated computing power that miners point at the network, shown in exahashes per second (EH/s). This Bitcoin hash rate chart shows the current BTC hash rate of the Bitcoin network and its full history. It is estimated from how quickly blocks are found at the current difficulty.
Formula
Hashrate = estimated computing power securing the network, in exahashes per second (1 EH/s = 10^18 hashes per second)
How to read it
Rising hashrate means more machines are mining and the network is harder to attack. Falling hashrate can mean older machines switched off, for example after a price drop or a halving. Over the last year the low was 732.4 EH/s on Jan 24, 2026 and the high was 1,249.0 EH/s on Nov 26, 2025.
Long ranges (5Y, 10Y and All) show a 7-day average to reduce daily noise. YTD and 1Y, the cards and the summary above use daily values. The tooltip shows both.
To keep everyday moves readable, the chart axis leaves out the most extreme 2% of readings in the selected range. Those days are marked with triangles at the chart edge, and the tooltip shows their value.
Limitations
Daily hashrate is an estimate and is noisy because block times vary; long ranges show a 7-day average. It does not show miner profit. Read it together with other charts.

Bitcoin Hashrate, explained
What is Bitcoin Hashrate?
Bitcoin hashrate is the estimated computing power that miners point at the network, shown in exahashes per second (EH/s). This Bitcoin hash rate chart shows the current BTC hash rate of the Bitcoin network and its full history. It is estimated from how quickly blocks are found at the current difficulty.
What is the latest Bitcoin Hashrate reading?
On Nov 3, 2026, the daily reading is 1,039.9 EH/s. A week earlier it was 1,111.1 EH/s.
How is the Bitcoin Hashrate chart calculated?
Hashrate = estimated computing power securing the network, in exahashes per second (1 EH/s = 10^18 hashes per second). The BTC price on the chart is the daily close of the same day.
How often is the Bitcoin Hashrate chart updated?
Once a day, after the UTC day closes. The date of the latest value is shown at the top of the page.
What history does the Bitcoin Hashrate chart cover?
The chart covers Oct 5, 2009 to Nov 3, 2026. Gaps are not filled with estimates.
Is Bitcoin Hashrate a buy signal?
No. Compare the reading with holder profitability, flows and leverage. A single measure does not determine the next price move.
