How to read Bitcoin Moving Averages

What it measures

The 50-day and 200-day lines average consecutive daily closes with equal weights.

How to read it

A golden cross puts the shorter average above the longer one; a death cross does the reverse. Touching alone is not a crossing.

Limitations

Averages react after price moves and crossings can reverse quickly.
